Stark Jiu-Jitsu was founded in 2023. At Stark, our mission is to provide you with excellent jiu-jitsu instruction in an environment that is welcoming for both complete beginners and seasoned martial arts practitioners. We are a community-driven gym whose goal is to teach you excellent jiu-jitsu while having fun in the process. Our mother gym is Stark Jiu-Jitsu in Stockholm—Sweden’s best jiu-jitsu gym.

Severin Zemp is Stark Jiu-Jitsu’s head coach. He is a 7x IBJJF European Championship medalist (2x gold at brown, 2x silver at black, 3x bronze at brown and black) and received his black belt from the Brazilian 12x world champion Caio Terra in 2022.

Sevi has on multiple occasions traveled around the world to train jiu-jitsu including at the Caio Terra headquarters in San Jose, Carpe Diem and Triforce in Tokyo, Bali MMA in Bali, and Gordo, Terrere, Checkmat Copacabana, and Blackbelt Academy in Rio de Janeiro.

Sevi is a seasoned BJJ Globetrotters participant and has taught classes at many of its camps. He spent the last 7 years as a head coach in a different Zurich-based gym before founding Stark in 2023.

As a light featherweight, Sevi’s teaching emphasises precision and is technique-based rather than force-based. He aims to teach excellent jiu-jitsu that will work for all individuals (hobbyists and competitors alike), with a strong emphasis on—above all else—having fun.
